A shuttle service arrives from the hotel at 08:30 in the morning. We get in the air-conditioned minibus and set off towards the area where the rafting and buggy safari will take place. Along the way, the guide shares both fun information and gives brief information about the tour.
We arrive at the facility in Köprülü Canyon at 10:30. First, we receive safety training. The instructors explain how to behave during rafting. We learn how to hold a paddle and how to sit in a boat.
After the briefing, we have approximately 40 minutes of free time. We change clothes in the changing rooms and place our belongings in the lockers. Those who wish can enter the river and get used to the water during this time. There are also toilets, showers, a cafe and a small market in the facility.
The buggy safari starts at 11:40. We drive for 1 hour on dusty roads, muddy tracks and through the forest with small 2-person vehicles. The guide leads and we follow the guide. We have a lot of fun during the drive and discover nature.
After the buggy safari is over, we return to the riverside. Rafting starts at 12:40. The first rafting stage is 8 kilometers long and takes about 1 hour. We move along the river with the instructor in boats. The current is not very strong, so this part is very nice for getting used to the water.
We have lunch in the middle of the rafting course at 13:40. Chicken or fish, rice or pasta and salad are served at the restaurant by the river. Drinks are extra but the food is filling. We have some rest time after the meal.
We move on to the second rafting stage at 14:20. This part is 6 kilometers long and more exciting. The adrenaline increases because the water flow is a little faster. We pass over the waves with boats, there are pine trees and high cliffs around us.
The rafting ends at 15:00. We return to the facility by vehicle. The photos and videos taken during the rafting and buggy ride are shown on the screens at the facility. If we like these photos, we can buy them.
At 15:30, we take a shower, change clothes and rest a little. We can sit in the cafe and have a drink or watch nature. We pack our things and get on the minibus for the return trip.
At 16:00, we get on the minibus and start our return journey. Along the way, we see the places we passed in the morning again. The fatigue of the day starts to wear off a little, but everyone is very happy.
We reach the hotel at 17:30. The tour ends and everyone is dropped off at their hotels. A fun day full of beautiful memories is left behind.
